Limit .plexignore rules to a certain subdirectory

I would like to limit certain rules in the .plexignore file to a certain subdirectory only.

Right now, my .plexignore is in Y:\Music and has the following rules:
*Artwork/*
*Data/*
to ignore content in subfolders called Artwork and Data.

I would like to limit this rule to apply to the Artwork and Data folders in a certain subdirectory, Y:\Music\Nine Inch Nails. I tried:
Nine Inch Nails/*Artwork/*
Nine Inch Nails/*Data/*
with no luck. Is this possible?

Nine Inch Nails/*/Artwork/*
Nine Inch Nails/*/Data/*
also do not work.

You could put the .plexignore file in the Nine Inch Nails folder, with contents like:

*Artwork/*
*Data/*

This doesn’t work. I suspect the .plexignore can only go in the root content folder, despite what the support page says (to any folder in your library’s content location).

A solution I’m satisfied with, .plexignore in all the Artwork and Data folders with *.

This is what I had to do too, put a .plexignore in each movie folder with *.mkv to get those out of my library. Wonder why it’s not working with parent subdir rules. Had to do that for 30 movies or so.
Edit: It appears based on this thread that there needs to be an opening * to let it traverse downwards into subdirs.

*Nine Inch Nails/*/Artwork/*
*Nine Inch Nails/*/Data/*

Perfect!
