I would like to suggest a new feature.
With movies getting TV show spins-off’s it would be nice to be able to link them togeather.
What I’m suggesting is this… You have a movie that got a TV show which follows on from the original movie so in the film information you could manually put a link to the TV show you have in your libary so once you’ve watched the film you can select the link to the TV show and start watching it without having to exit out of the movies and then look for it in the TV section.
It could also be done for TV shows that got a movie too, just manually link the movie to the end of the TV show.
While that may be a good idea, right now you can treat those movies as a TV Show “special”.
For instance ‘Serenity (2005)’ is listed as a Special for the tv show ‘Firefly’ at TheTVDB.

‘Con’ of this method, the movie only appears as an episode in the tv show and not in the normal ‘movie’ library.
In the Plex before Media Server days, that was actually possible. I am not sure if Kodi still supports that feature.
I think it would be nice to be able to link any media together. For example, a soundtrack to a movie. Under the item there could be a section of linked items.
This can be now done, using Collections.
