Is there any single articles, scripts out there that show all the ins and outs using Plex with Linux. I found it more time consuming than it should be to use this platform, but it is free and very stable. I had a heck of a time getting an external drive working to point where Plex could see ext4 formatted drive, a lot of reading to get working on 1TB drive.
Since Plex is supported it would be nice to have a script or GUI to validate permissions, groups that is easy for us new to Linux or in-experienced in Linux. Plex in Windows is a 5 minute deal, but Linux difficult to set permissions and I see a lot of people saying to give root access to Plex and that would get some people in trouble with security being important these days.
If anyone is knowledgeable coming up with something let us know.
