Linux USB HDD

I have just finished my first Plex install on a Raspberry Pi running Raspbian for the first time in three years.

The install was successful and I just need to add media to my library. I have plugged in a USB Drive, which I can see on the desktop and browse to. However, when I try to add a Plex library it doesn’t let me browse the drive. Is there a guide I can follow?

In my previous install I seem to remember adding commands to automount the drive, and giving the Plex user some permissions to it. Is that right / still needed?

Let’s use the one from the tips & tricks section

Thanks for your help.

And also well played: a subtle balance of providing the right answer and a friendly nudge to look properly myself in future.

You’re certainly welcome to ask.
I personally prefer understanding where to find stuff (especially given that forum posts might go unseen/unanswered for some time)
