Listen Together for Music

I also would like this feature

I would also love to see something like this. Be it in Plex or Plexamp… Listening to a live playlist (via different devices, geographies, etc.) would be great.

Even just expanding the “watch together” to music (so it’s not just for movie/shows) would suffice…but being able to sync up an entire playlist with multiple listeners would be amazing.

We really need this feature.

Yes!
Recently on desktop, I noticed what might’ve been a bug (and it may have been fixed already? I can’t seem to recreate it anymore) where it showed Watch Together in the options menu from an album and I was so excited. I tried to test it out with my girlfriend and interestingly, it started playing music for her. There were some issues with the screen and we weren’t synced though, so we figured the “feature” was not intentional. Would love to see Listen Together implemented for real soon though!

Add my name to the list of people who’d like this feature.

This would be a great feature. I used to have a few echo dots (no longer have them due to privacy reasons) the Echo devices had this feature where I could play the same music on all the echo devices connected to my account throughout my house.

It would also be cool to setup a “radio station” that would play a playlist or on shuffle that anyone and multiple devices can tune into.

Adding my request for this feature as well. I was going to post a request of my own but responsibly did a search first.

I could see a couple marketable concepts this could take:
Plex Radio - Assign a playlist that is randomly played as long as someone is connected, and paused when there are no listeners.
Plex DJ - Like Watch Together, with one person managing a playlist on the fly.

+1 to this too. PlexAmp is now my go-to music streaming experience and I’m incredibly pleased with it.

My stop-gap solution is to have a tablet with PlexAmp configured so it can be handed off to people to add/control as desired, but a “watch together” like experience is definitely the ideal vision.

Keeping my fingers crossed on this one.

As noted in our previous announcement, our existing Watch Together functionality will not be included in our new experience apps on launch, which are currently in preview and will be released broadly in the future.

As such, we’re closing related feature suggestions in order to give back those votes, so that you can vote for something else.

We do not preclude the possibility of offering similar functionality again in the future, as we also noted in our announcement. Should that happen, then feature suggestions like this one and others would certainly be considered during that development.

A new suggestion related to adding Watch Together to our new experience apps has already been raised and you’re welcome to comment or vote on that suggestion.
