I have noticed recently when going through my OTA (tuner is HDhomerun quatro) all my channels default to ac3 5.1 which is great except all of my NBC channels which there are 4 all default to AC3 Stereo and take forever to load unless I change the audio stream back to AC3 5.1. I realize this is because it is doing less transcoding as OTA channels are native 5.1 but for some reason my local NBC channel defaults to stereo and I have to keep changing it every time. I have repaired my plex server installation, removed my live tv/dvr and rebuilt it with no success. Even my DVR’d content from NBC are default the audio stream to AC3 stereo. Does anyone have any insight on this?
