Very much off the wall request - anyone aware of a Plex client that has component video and 5.1 optical or coax out?
I was looking at bluray players - old ones that have component…but most I find seem to be lousy Plex clients… ie slow…or worse.
Why you ask? well, after a log hibernation, I want to use my DSP-AX1 amp - which has no HDMI! I cant afford the cash to replace it with an HDMI model… so it will need to last me a bit longer… and component would be ideal.
I have thought of using a FIRE box - a V1, with optical out, and using HDMI straight to the projector, (bypassing the amps video switching) but expect lip sync may be an issue there and it does not appear to have any means to add delay to fix that (the Fire that is).
Any ideas most welcome and appreciated.
