Ah, thanks for the clarification, I did not think that the older aluminum mini had hardware that could support it. In any event looks like it will be a long wait for OS X to support HD audio, if ever.

Any news? And the 2010 HDMI Mac Mini can bitstream HD audio in Windows 7? That is the first I have heard of it. I though the graphics card was missing a key piece of functionality.

I have a 2010 Mac Mini with the 320m graphics with Windows 7 64bit and had no luck with dts-hd or true-hd! Any help? Tried XBMC Frodo 12.2 and activated DTS-HD etc. in the settings.
