Making Blu-Ray rips "anamorphic" when transcoding to screens wider than 16:9

I love encoding BluRay rips to a bit rate just over where I stop seeing any differences. I save a lot of space.

You may not enjoy that benefit of your retirement - until you retire, blind, to the woods, to die…

Storage is cheap enough I have plenty left over to rip everything at 1:1. Reencoding for me would be to save space I don’t need to save. The only reencoding I do is of recordings I make. To each his own, though.

Gotta run back to work.

I have Remote Users to consider - my server is my gaming rig - I have to get at least two streams upstream - and I don’t want any transcoder shenanigans 'causing me to be eaten by some nasty thing - more often that necessary - when the transcoder kicks in.

3750Kbps is way more than I need.
If I want to impress the Widow Next Door - I’ll show her anything I got 'cause she’s my age… or sing for her. Or strip out of my tear-away Fat Cop Uniform.

Ok… carry on…lol

I understand. I have remote users but my GPU is just for Plex so I don’t mind using it to transcode when necessary
