I am running Plex on Unraid and keep running into this issue when recording something from live tv and watching it live at the same time. My plex instance has 16GB of RAM allocated to it and most of the time it barely uses more than 2-3 gb of ram. I transcode to ram /dev/shm have a lot of extra memory and when it’s recording the plex containers memory gradually fills up all the way to the limit.
