Migrating PMS from Windows to Linux

Hello everyone!

I’m planning on migrating PMS from my AiO-Windows 10-Server to a dedicated PMS-Server running Ubuntu.

To keep all my content and database intact and as was, would at be as simple as copying the data directory from %LOCALAPPDATA%\Plex Media Server on my Windows machine to /var/lib/plexmediaserver/Library/Application%20Support/Plex%20Media%20Server/ on the new Ubuntu machine?

I did this exact migration a week ago.

Copying the db files over is the main part, however you need to edit Preferences.xml on your target ubuntu box to match the server IDs of your current windows server.
