is it possible to insert a function “Message of Today”? i like to write something to my users.
This is currently impossible to do in Plex. There exists threads in the feature suggestion part of this forum that I’d recommend you to vote on.
Considering that Plex is designed for sharing content with friends and family… in other words, people you already have a pre-existing relationship with… you would already have better ways to communicate with these people: email, text, IM, etc. Don’t look to Plex to take on unrelated duties of being a messaging server as well.
Besides all that, I have a separate Google Hangouts chat that contains all my Plex users. Makes it easy to get the word out. Got a big list? Maintain an email list in your email client.
