I’ve had everything on a drive that is just a stand-alone drive and getting full. So, I’ve now added some drives and setup a new volume. I have already copied the data over. What is the best way to point Plex to the new data? I can edit the library, and change the drive letter/path, but will that cause a rescan? I’d rather not have a rescan though if that must happen so be it. Thanks
Shut down Plex and make a backup copy of the Plex database file.

Do keep in mind that you may add several storage locations to a library.
There is no need for building large ‘volumes’ consisting of several hard drives.
Thanks, I followed the directions and all seems well. I did have to do a new scan but it remembered all my watched/unwatched shows and movies which was the concern.
