In it, create

Stop Plex
-
ZIP the
Plex Media Server
folder -
Copy that to the Plex shared folder
-
Unzip it.
-
Find the
Plex Media Server
folder you just got from the unZIP -
Move it under
Application Support

The resultant structure should be
Plex/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/your-server-metadata-here

With everything moved, Install the DSM 7 app from Plex.tv/downloads – Don’t use the one from Package Center (too old and doesn’t work with DSM 7 final release).

-
When it’s finally done, you won’t find any media. – not a problem.
-
EDIT each Library section’s folder list - ADD the new locations. DO NOT remove anything yet.
-
As you edit each section and add media folder locations, it will start scanning.
(If the folder appears blank – Control Panel - Shared folders - Permissions - grant “system internal user” PlexMediaServer permission to read)
Here is the documentation which shows everything.
