Live TV is completely broken on all platforms including Plex web. And yes I have logs and I will PM them to you if needed.
Same here. Haven’t tried all of my devices, but at least my IOS is broken.

The installer is 2MB bigger. Just saying…
To the Linux folks here.
Let me know if you want to integrate with systemd and have any difficulties

Which is why we say “mostly”
The Linux builds are actually 20MB smaller.

Seems to working good on windows
Just this annoying message :
That’s expected for all non-mainline builds due to how our auto-update system works. Thanks for testing!
In my side, it looks pretty good so far.
Only few things I’ve noticed:
→ I Don’t have the option to choose the quality anymore.
Version 1.11.1.119

Version 1.11.1.4730:

→ If I choose another video quality on the player settings,

I got an error:

No problem with version 1.11.1.4730.
FYI, I run PMS on a Synology DS918+
Thanks
Did PMS v1.11.1.4730 replace this build? I was running this version v1.11.1.119 and got a message saying update available so I downloaded it and now I am running v1.11.1.4730 and now my Live TV works again in Plex web.

Any idea when it will be available on the Docker image? I tried to manually update the .deb directly but it fails to start.
That is a brilliant idea, This would be the safest medium for testing builds and not risking an upset family of five. Plex please make a docker image…
I also installed .4730 (and removed this version). This .119 version completely killed Live TV for me on (2) HDHR Prime boxes.
Version .4730 restored Live TV. Live TV worked for me before (using .4666), but once I installed .119, it no longer streamed to any of my boxes.
I was shocked to see .4730 come out. I’m confused on which is the direction ahead for Plex. Especialy with the version numbers. If this new “build” is the path ahead, I’m surprised it’s not something like version 1.12.2.0 or something above the current versions.
Thanks for confirming Live TV is broke, I also am running HDHR Prime, I am back to .4730. I don’t know how much pre-testing goes on before sending these builds out for public testing but one would think they should of known a major feature like Live TV/DVR was not working ahead of time. I do understand the pains with beta testing but come on Plex. Love you guys but this should of been addressed and working maybe with some bugs but it just does not work at all…
Suggestion, Please get a docker image going so we can sandbox testing builds for you without breaking our setups. I love testing builds and getting features early but with only one box I have to uninstall and reinstall builds all the time and its a PITA…
Thanks for all your hard work, I look forward to whats ahead…

We might do a new preview release before merging all this to mainline and that might include a docker image, but no promises. If you have any logs about the startup issue you experienced, please post or PM them.

Sounds great, thank you! I got the new build installed on my Synology NAS (DS718+) and have done some tests with the Android client. .srt sub files are no longer displaying the text. Instead they just show up as “Chapter 1”, “Chapter 2”, etc. Is there somewhere else I should post about this? Thanks.
@sztomi I take this one back… apparently my android app updated without me noticing around the same time as installing this build. The subtitle issue, after rolling back to the Plex Pass Beta, still occurs on Android, so it is the Android beta app, not the server causing this issue.

A docker image would be very smart and may encourage beta testers, I love to help companies flush out bugs and be a head on features but with the amount of bugs that have been coming with each new build I may have to stop testing. Live TV seems to be a real problem for Plex Devs and it’s causing me grate pain with my family to continue testing. Release a Docker image and I can continue testing because it will be sandbox from my working production server.
On closing the last stable version of PMS that Live TV worked for me was v1.10.0.4523
Is any PMS version after this working for Live TV without having to reboot the server all the time? I am using HDHR PRIME for my tuner if that matters…
Update: I stand corrected, As of today I am running v1.10.1.4602 and so far Live TV is working…
Any word on when Live TV will be fixed?
Any word on when Live TV will be fixed?
Will there by any chance be an updated version of this new build?
I can’t figure out which official build it’s comparable to as the latest official beta build (1.11.1.4730) seems to be a couple of revisions (?) ahead of this special one (1.11.1.119).
SieversDK: we might do an updated preview, but it’s also possible that we’ll go mainline with all the fixes, it hasn’t been decided yet.
Has the Live TV been fixed?
