OK - added.
I've been working on something like this on the side, basically a few small easy script that pushes data to AWS where I can do what ever I want with it. I mostly just want stats of who is using what so I know when I can remove stuff etc and I also want it to make recommendations on movies.
I could clean it up and publish it if people are interested, I haven't spent much time on it because I'm /worried/ that plex will just release something like this and my time will be wasted so it would be nice to hear from this on this matter.
+1, Pushbullet support would be awesome as I already have it with SickRage and CouchPotato. IFTTT integration would be interesting.
+1, Liked
Though I currently use the simpler PlexPy, I agree with the core of this sentiment, and would like to see such features within the core Plex Server environment.
+1 It would be great to have this natively in PMS

I don’t know if this has been mentioned in this thread or others as I have not read all the responses but in addition to this I think it would be good for each user to control the notifications. This would be most for TV shows for instance. This way a user can go to a list of TV shows and select which ones they want notified of when new episodes appear.
Early 2021 clean-up: implemented (web hooks, push notifications)
