Native kill pause not working on some devices

Apologies if this has been posted. I did search but didn’t find a relevant thread for this.

I have had “terminate sessions paused longer than x” enabled on my server. My current value is 15 minutes. I’ve tested on my samsung smart tv and it expectedly kicks me off after 15 minutes.

However, looking at my Tautulli logs I’m seeing some users still being allowed to pause for longer than my set limit. Some are paused uninterrupted for in excess of an hour. Some are kicked off at the 15 minute mark exactly. In an attempt to combat I’ve set up a redundant kill pause script on Tautulli. This script successfully booted me at the set time so I set it to 20 minutes to check after Plex was supposed to kill the stream. Some users are still getting past this.

I’m not looking for Tautulli support here but rather if there’s a known bug with Plex server (or the client side software) failing to kill the stream when the server attempts it.

I’ve noticed this error occurring mostly on Apple TV and iOS devices.

Cheers
