Come on guys, we pay for the PLEX program, would it really be that difficult to create an option to set a locking code for a library? This seems to be a big topic.

Itās not needed. Just setup proper users as @Plexhilarated commented earlier. You can set a PIN code on any home user (if you have plex pass) or just login with the correct username that has access to the libs in question.
I would guess that most people could leave the TV logged in with a āfamily friendlyā login setup with safe library shares. Then on your computer/tablet/phone use your admin login to get to all libs.
Another way to do this is to setup another copy of Plex on a different computer or VM and use it only for these special libs without any sharing to other people.
Think outside the box and there a lots of ways to have āhidden libsā.

And what the hell should I do to hide my āprivateā folder on my PS3? Itās DLNA, so thereās no way of putting in pin codes or switching user accounts or whatever.
See, I wanna hide the private stuff only on my PS3, but not on any other device (phones, computers, etc)
You canāt hide stuff is you are using DLNA. Even if Plex offered a way, it wouldnāt be possible to extend this feature to DLNA. There is a Plex app for the PS3 so just use that and turn off DLNA.
I donāt think this totally hidesā¦seems that in the sources section of a smart tv like Samsung, or the media browser on Hisense TV, I still am able to browse to the entire folder structure of plex??

And why dont you make just a porn library which you dont share with other accounts. So in the living room you are using an account which you not share the porn library with.
So if you want to watch porn you use an account where it is shared with. Not the best solution but it would work. Just dont give out the password of the porn account.

For anyone stumbling across a similar issue like this. I found the best way for myself (due to it being minimal amounts of files buried within my file organisation) was to use a .plexignore file

I just set a pin to my liking, disabled DLNA and had additional managed profiles set up for my family so no one can see my porn stash. Itās not ideal if someone guesses your pass-code thoā¦ itāll do me.

Both of those will allow you to restrict, hide, block, control, limit, bar, inhibit, or otherwise prevent media from being viewed.

This is exactly how I keep my adult only content away from prying eyes.
I have the āadminā Plex user with access to all folders and libraries, and another account that I have with the adult libraries not shared ā this I use as the āevery dayā user account.
Itās can get annoying managing watched TV and movies between the two users, but all in all, itās a satisfactory solution for my needs.
Managed Users/Home Users are the key to this.
So, Iām in a similar situation here, but have the added complexity of wanting to control plex with my Amazon Echo. From what Iāve been reading on the Plex integration with Alexa, my Fire TV needs to be signed in to the main account in order to have Alexa control it. If I do that, my Fire TV will have access to my āsensitiveā media. Any ideas on how I could get around this? I already have users set up and have the content restricted for all but the main user. Iām also using this on a Synology NAS if that makes a difference.
For the time being, Iām removing the library from Plex. If nothing else, Iāll just find another way to view my content. Itās not a frequent thing anyhow, so probably not the end of the world. Just curious.
You have an ADMIN login, which by default SEES EVERYTHINGā¦then you can CREATE a 2nd accountā¦that has all libraries except your pornā¦NOW you use the 2nd account as your primary, and log in with the MAIN account for ADMIN workā¦if you really ever need toā¦aside from wanting to view your porn.
