New Android Mobile App - Touchscreen Media Controls Not Working

Yayllow,

So, since the update of the new app, I noticed that the touchscreen media control are not working anymore.
Meaning :

• A playback is running
• And you double tap on the right side of the touschreen to fast forward => nothing happens
• And you double tap on the left side of the touschreen to rewind => nothing happens
• And you double tap on the middle of the touschreen to payse => nothing happens

Therefore, something is missing from the update as the old app had all those media controls accessible from the touchscreen

However the media control shows up perfectly fine at the bottom of the screen as usual, meaning here

Can anyone help me with this ?

Same issue, was looking for it. Thank you for the detailed description.

Couldn’t find a config option for it, and can’t think of a reason to disable it.
Perhaps an oversight in the update? (would be a big one )

Indeed, quite few oversight
But to be honest I can’t post for all of them (as I’ve noticed many bugs or oversight)
I’m focusing on the ones which are very problematic for my daily usage

I’m hoping others will join in so as to push all those out to the Plex employees so they can have it fixed in upcoming updates

Just downgrade till previous version where this rubbish isn’t published yet. So many things are not working or just backwards steps. It’s easier not to use the new version. Saves a lot of headaches.

Please bring back the double tap to fast forward 10s ! I can’t believe it was removed. This is now a must have feature in 2025 for any video app.
