Server Version#: 1.21.0.3608
Player Version#: 4.47.1 [web]
Media lives on FreeNAS 11.3-U3.2.
Docker host is Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS.
I’m running into a permissions issue when I add new media to my host. Sometimes it works fine, sometimes I have to reboot the Docker host once or twice. Restarting the docker container and re-mounting the drives does not fix it.
When this fill perm issue occurs, both my Mac and Windows PC’s can connect to the same share using the same login, and have no problem.
The on-player error varies from player to player (web or tvOS), but the server log is always the same. This is the error from the Plex log:
Error opening file '"/mnt/shares/media/TV/Real Time With Bill Maher/Real Time with Bill Maher - Season 18/Real Time with Bill Maher - S18E35 - Episode 550 [720p WEB-DL].mkv"' - Invalid argument (22)
This is the result of ls -l in the docker container, note Episode 549 works just fine.
-rwxrwxrwx 1 plex root 1595294904 Nov 14 12:02 Real Time with Bill Maher - S18E34 - Episode 549 [720p WEB-DL].mkv
-rwxrwxrwx 2 plex root 1495795877 Nov 21 05:03 Real Time with Bill Maher - S18E35 - Episode 550 [720p WEB-DL].mkv
Now that I rebooted twice, the file loads. It would not load successfully after the first reboot. I’ll probably have another opportunity to experience failure tomorrow.
