I am admin of my server and I want to know which devices and users are doing mobile sync. It can be seen easily in the past but now I can’t see it. I don’t wish to terminate the wrong sync (item and user both).
I don’t think you could ever see which device caused the transcoding for sync.
It would always only show you which of your own devices may have caused it. But never any info about devices which are logged into your sharees’ accounts.
If you want to monitor mobile syncs for every device of every user, use Tautulli
Maybe I remembered incorrectly but I’m pretty sure there was some indication of who/where it was converting for/to. I’ve tried Tautulli and it doesn’t show conversion information. This post is a last resort.
It doesn’t show conversion information, that’s right.
But it does show ‘Synced Items’. (last menu item left of the settings menu.)
If you look at the ‘Complete’ column, you can get a pretty good idea which Sync jobs are currently going on - simply because they are not shown as 100% complete yet.
You are remembering incorrectly.
The only thing you could ever see from PMS was that something was converting to sync but not by who or the conversion specs.

Thanks a lot! Glad to be able to see the list of completed syncs. Would’ve been great to see the start and completed time. Thanks for the correction, I hope plex can make this sync thingy more informative next time.
