No Music or Photos?

A search tool for photo file and folder names would make Plex Photos actually useful

It seems we have an update to this story.

We listened. We learned. We are adjusting.

Great. Now, after you fix this on everything else, get rid of the excessive effort needed to bypass your VOD so we can prioritize the content we own on the servers we own.

I’m happy they have finally FINALLY listened to reason and the users who have furiously slammed them for months over this boneheaded decision. Frankly I think we also deserve an apology post for alienating such a large portion of their devoted user base.

Hahahahahahahahahahahaha. You must be new here. An apology! No chance

No point in demanding an apology, these things happen and they listened.

More important things in life than bashing Plex.

I hear you but it’s more than just them “listening to users” after months of ignoring their frustrations. For the person advocating or generating new customers for Plex, for the person overseeing their elderly parents or a disadvantaged community library, these last few months have been very difficult. Shielding tech support for the elderly who can’t understand where their music or photos are gone and now they have to download new apps, broken functionally, and a ridiculously more complicated interface was stressful, even more so when they were out of state. It was an arrogant and unjustified move by Plex, and it only served to make everything more difficult for those with only drive based content. By God an apology is well justified.
