Hi,
I’ve tried searching but can’t seem to find anything that’s working.
I have 2 Samsung Tvs (UE40NU7125 & QE85Q70AATXXC) both with the Plex app installed and each their own user and added to Plex Home.
My Plex server is running on Ubuntu 24.04.1 and is fully updated, it has a activated video card for transcoding.
In the beginning I had problems seeing Plex live TV and movies, then then I found this Important information about Plex for smart TVs after September 30, 2021 and that seem to help.
Now I think the only thing who’s not working is when I’m on a movie page (local server) then the trailers are not playing, I’ve tried to play around with settings and when I disabling Direct Stream and Direct Play on my QE85Q70AATXXC then the trailer is playing but without sound. When I only disabling Direct Play on UE40NU7125 everything seems to work.
To me it’s a bit strange because if I go to Plex Discover page and watch a trailer (everything works), then I can go to the movie page and try to watch the same trailer, then it doesn’t work…
When I use PC, phone or Chromecast everything works perfectly.
(In short I can’t get my Samsung QE85Q70AATXXC TV to show trailers with sound when I’m on the movie page on the local server)
