My music file paths are as follows
For albums/compilations/soundtracks:
M:\Music\Album\music file.m4a
For odd tracks, singles, etc:
M:\Music\music file.m4a
For some reason Plex is putting all of my odd tracks and singles under 1 album and 1 artist, so I have one album full of 2000+ tracks. All of my music is tagged correctly with correct artists, yet Plex is not pulling them through.
A few of my soundtracks are also being put under the same artist. The difference with soundtracks is I do not have any metadata in the album artists field since they are full of tracks from different artists.
All of my agents are set to use local data as priority as all of my files are correctly tagged up. I have tried rebuilding my music library 3 times and every time it has done this. I’m not sure about the first time as it was a couple of weeks ago, but the second and third time it had issues with the same files. I have checked these files and they are definitely fully tagged up right. iTunes can read everything correctly for them fine, just Plex is having issues. When recreating my library the third time I also set it up in the library setup to only use my local data for things like genres and album art.
I have no idea what is causing this, but I do know it was fine before the new Plex music update. Unfortunately I had to rebuild my server machine so had to start from fresh with Plex and ever since I tried to rebuild my library (with the exact sme files as before) it keeps tagging up files fine. My other 8000+ songs in albums have come through fine, but I am having issues with these for some reason. The metadata isn’t being pulled through correctly. It is using a mix and match of metadata from completely different music and applying it to a ton of my music.
