Now that OpenPHT is the place to be

I’m loving it!

Can we perhaps expect last.fm scrobbling anytime ever?

What’s wrong with the server-based scrobbling?

SINCE WHEN?! Gave up on this ages ago!

Several weeks now. Was introduced without much fanfare though.
It is supposed to work even when you play stuff from shared servers.

A bit longer than a few weeks, actually.

Awesome! It works (mostly). I notice it never scrobbles the first track in an album. Always starts working with the second track played.

Also, since it’s Christmas, is there a way to scrobble music that has been synced to a mobile device and not played directly from the server?

Thanks for the report, will relay it to the team.

If your mobile client has no server connection when you play back, it is supposed to queue up scrobbles until you do the next mobile sync ‘refresh’ (similarly to the watched/unwatched info).

Have tested this a couple times.

After listening to a synced album on my phone, and afterwards syncing media information, about half the scrobbles show up in Last.fm.

The first time I listened to a 15 track album, and 7 tracks showed up in Last.fm. The second time I listened to a 12 track album, and 6 tracks appeared in Last.fm

There is no particular order to which they show up, it is not the first 6 or the last 6, it seems random.

Hope this helps improve the service.

It’d be really helpful, if you could fetch a set of logs when you do the next syncing.

What version of the server are you running? The release notes for 0.9.16.0 indicate improved last.fm scrobbling. Worth testing.

that should be ‘0.9.15.0’

Yup, correct, typo on a mobile

Hmmph it says I’m up to date but it’s still running 9.12. I’ll test and let
you know.

The 0.9.14 & 0.9.15 releases have been set to not auto update.
You have to manually install them

This new version is intentionally not available per auto-update. It contains some big changes under the hood, which may break something.

edit: @hthighway beat me to it.

OK I tested it with 9.15

Played a 14 track album synced on my phone. Synced info after the album finished. Only 3 tracks showed up in Last.fm

Here is the log immediately after I synced info from my phone.

Has it anything to say that your Plex data are on D:\odrive\Amazon Cloud Drive\
Is this really a windows drive letter connected to a cloud space?

Nope. Actually I just moved all my plex data there yesterday. A new backup
experiment. The files are all still on my physical drive, only now they are uploaded to the cloud as well. Previously it was just d:\plexdata. The problem is the same so
I assume it’s not related.

Just to make sure: you played all of these 14 tracks from beginning to end?

Yep. Just let it play through.
