Hi everyone.

Is possible display only the forced subtitles?

I want to do that, if there is the forced subtitle show it but if they don’t have any forced subtitle don’t show the “prefered language”

I also mark the force track like predefinied with MKVtoonix, and if there is not the forced track, no other trak are marked as “predefinied”, and even so, the preferen language set up into server options apears…

Any option?

Thank you very much

Check out the Show with Foreign Audio option for your account audio/subtitle preferences.

Thank you @tom80H , but i don’t find what options should I have selected.

Or the subtitles are always off (manual) or always are the selected language, whether or not forced …the option that I want I can’t find it

I want if there are forced in prefered language show it, but if not are forced don’t show nothing (not the full subtitles in prefered language)

Here’s an example of my audio/subtitle preferences. This will auto-select English audio and English forced subtitles.

Keep in mind that auto-selection of audio/subtitle is overridden if you manually change the selection for a specific movie/episode.

After making sure your settings are correct (for your language) as shown by @tom80H, you also need to make sure you tracks are properly labeled so that they show up as such:

If your audio and/or subtitle files do not show up with the proper language (in my screenshot that is in the lighter grey portion), then even if you have the settings correct like in Tom’s screenshot, it will not work correctly because that info is used to make that determination.

If you are using MKV files, you can use mkvtoolnix and use the header editor tool to update the language for the audio and subtitle tracks (if the subtitle tracks are embedded). For MP4, I’m not really sure of a good tool to do that as I am mostly MKV based.

If the subtitles are external, then make sure you are using the 2 or 3 digit language code (so en or eng for English, jp or jpn for Japanese, etc.). Plex uses a certain ISO specification, can’t recall which but think it’s in the support articles, that can be used to find out the proper 2 or 3 digit code for the language.
