Embedded meta tags are already supported for mp4/m4v containers.
There is already a request to do the same for MKV containers: Support MPEG-TS or MKV metadata
Therefore this one is closed, to prevent spreading the votes across several threads, even though they vote for the same (or at least very similar thing).
