When a device or piece of software requests lots of information from Plex Media Server - How will it be displayed in the logs and which log file in particular? I have combed over Plex Media Server.log with no success with verbose logging turned on.
For example, PlexKodiConnect is a fairly popular piece of software that requests a lot of information from a Plex server upon first sync in order to build a local database of metadata, which if hosted on the cloud, will hammer it with many API requests, resulting in a temporary ban from the cloud provider.
I’m aware that I could ctrl+f PlexKodiConnect, however - I would like to know of a way of identifying heavy data requests so that if a different piece of software were to do it, I would know.
I would also like to ask if the Plex dev team has any plans of introducing an option to limit the amount of requests that can be made in a given time, if for example, the server is remote.
I think it’s becoming quite popular to host in the cloud where this will become a larger problem for more users.
