Hi everyone. I’m trying to figure out the right words to search for, but is there a way to access a photo Library with just a direct IP address? I have a dakboard and it would be nice to link it to my Plex server on the same network to view my photos rather than having a separate smaller back up on Google photo.
Thanks
I Googled that to see what it was. There doesn’t appear to be a way for that to interface with a Plex server. They have a URL option, but that appears to be 1 photo.
On top of that, wouldn’t Plex require authentication? You can’t just access a photo on a Plex server with a url. Dakboard would have to engineer that, like it does for Google, Dropbox, etc.
Dang I was hoping that it would be an address that could point to a folder.
I’m not sure. The URL option seems to be just to point it at a website and it just displays whatever is there. I haven’t used it but there were no authentication options for it in the dakboard settings.
You could get the URL for 1 photo, which would need a token, and that can be done. The URL method says “Display a photo” so I assume it was 1 photo. If you could point it to a folder, make your original folder shared and point to that network location instead of through Plex.
So a shared folder just using windows and that address rather than using Plex at all. I’ll give that a try.
Yup. I don’t know if it will work, but worth a try.
