Thats not correct, like I stated in the my post, even an image resized to FULLHD resolution of:
1920 × 1280 2.81 MB JPEG.
Takes still 8 SECONDS the first time!!!
Resizing my images before I put them on the server, could be an option, but isn’t this the point of a media server that he can handle this kind of jobs?!
I also don’t understand why this even can take that long, I been a software developer my self for over 20years now and scaling this kind of files wasn’t even an issue when I just started programming, considering the hardware/software in that time was a lot slower and less performant then current.
Also don’t understand why disabling transcoding would make it impossible to view JPEGs on any device, if I open full resolution images straight from NAS, not trough Plex on any device that works just fine without any issues!
I have no issues, this has been an issue for a long time on all my devices running plex servers!
