Hi Plex. How do I add pictures from the default Photos App in my Mac OS X to Plex?
Thank you
If your Mac is the same as your PMS server, create a photo library and point it to the folder where the photo app saves.
I’ve done that it doesn’t work. The photo library had some generic system files in it.
Can you expand on what doesn’t actually work? PMS should ignore any files that isn’t an actual photo.
Yea in the photo library app there us no actual photos. I’m telling about the default photos app in macOS. Previously used to be iPhoto. Now it’s photos
I don’t use iOS so I might be missing something here, but doesn’t the app save the pictures into a directory on your hard drive. You just need to have your PMS photo library point to the same folder.
no the folder for that app has no picture file in it
its the default Photos app in macOS…would u be able to find this out for m
Photos app stores everything in a package file called Photos Library.photoslibrary The location of originals are inside that . Likely here which i think is default ~/Pictures/Photos Library.photoslibrary/Masters but you can find out in the preferences of the app where it says Library Location ( I don’t actually use the Photos.app myself)
yes I’ve tried that…but its uploading into plex very disorganised way … (one picture one folder) and not as per how the folders in my photos app…so its messy that way as well as pointless cause I can search for the pics I want…thank you for the responses so far
so that’s the response I got from plex. they don’t support
