Physically moving HDD from RPI3 to Ubuntu PC

I’ve tried Googling this but haven’t found an answer.

I plan on changing my setup from an RPI3 to an actual server. The pi has a usb hard drive dock with the media hard drive. My hope is that I can physically move the media drive and put it in a Ubuntu PC.

Is there anything I need to do to prep? If Plex is setup on Ubuntu with the default settings with the plex user, will I have problems just mounting the drive and scanning the media?
