I would love to see an addon into Plex that would show photos on a map based on GPS locations on the photos like iOS does for them now. This would be a great feature for showing where your photos are taken since we are putting them into plex as our media destination.
I would also see the same feature thetonyleone mentioned
having a visual world map would make the photos feature a lot more interactive for me any my family allowing us to jump to a particular album or event quite quickly.
I also would be excited to see photo features that organize pictures on a map and / or generally make use of the embedded GPS info.
I’d also love a GPS support for pictures, showing up in a world map <3
Please implement, so I can throw away my iCloud Fotolibrary

The file creation time is set automatically to the current time when the copying happens. The modification time however is typically set to the time of the source photos (e.g. SD card).Until a more sophisticated photo scanning is implemented using EXIF tags, I propose to s/getctime/getmtime/.
This is obnoxiously irritating when performing a massive photo dump into Plex. You likely have 10+ years of archived photos with proper exif meta data, but Plex decided that the past decade of photos were all taken on the day of upload/import.
Can’t seem to bulk edit photo dates either. Would at least like to be able to put them into the proper year if nothing else.
Secondly, what’s the point of having all this great music and all these wonderful photos if Plex doesn’t allow music to play while viewing a photo slide show…?
Please allow the music player to continue playing when a user starts a slideshow. Seems like an obvious ‘feature’ if you can even call it that. More like obviously functionality.
Any news on such a plugin? I need to search based on gps, exit and iptc as well
