My request is generally for Nvidia Shield TV Pro and Samsung TV’s. However, I think this would benefit all platforms for the Plex Player.
Can a Bookmark option be created so when I want to go back or forward to a timeline on the video that I can return to the place I was watching. I’m amazed that it hasn’t been added as in most players, this is a typical function. However, I believe it would be of great benefit.

Are you looking for a temporary bookmark while playing that particular video or a more persistent solution like described in this existing suggestion (e.g. tagging certain points of interest in a video, possibly sharing them)?
Yes, more of the latter.
My PVR broke down and I now use plex and my server for recording tv. For movies and shows which I have a huge library of, it would be handy. The option to erase tags/bookmarks would be optional but a permanent tag/bookmark would be helpful if video is stopped to come back to later then can be removed individually or at once. My pvr and blurays etc all have them.
However, temporary ones are sufficient in essence to use whilst watching.
In addition like in many cases, The colour buttons can be assigned to the remote for sub-functions of the Tags/Bookmarks.
Note: I didn’t realise how many requests have already been made. Surely now with Plex’s popularity, it could be instated.
