I was thinking that it would be nice to be able to create a playlist within the tv shows. What I mean by that is let’s say I wanted to create a playlist of all of the Christmas episodes for a specific show like Frasier or Spongebob Sqaurepants. When I create the playlist it would sit right next to the other season selections. Another reason would be to create a playlist of your favorite episodes within a specific show so when you select the show you want to watch, you could then select your “Favorite Episodes” playlist.
I believe that would be nice to have so you don’t have to go to your Playlist tab and create them there, but instead have them right within the season selection area. It would be a little more organized that way and I think a unique thing that Plex can have.

Curious if you would also want any playlist where an episode of that shows appears along with episodes of other shows, rather then 100% of the playlist being from that show
That’s a good question. If I were to create a playlist within a show I would only want that show to appear in the playlist. However, I do like that I can create a playlist right now that includes different shows. For example: I have created a Christmas playlist that includes every TV show I have and their holiday episodes, but it would be nice to be able to create a playlist within specific shows because sometimes I just want to watch holiday episodes from a specific show. We could apply this to not just the holidays, but even for favorite episodes as mentioned earlier. I’m sure there are many different types of playlists everyone would want to create.

I’m having a little difficulty understanding your question, but if I’m understanding correctly, are you wondering if I would want collections to work the same way? For example; I creat a collection of my favorite episodes of a specific show.
What I am looking for is either a playlist or a collection in the area where you select your seasons of a show. I don’t care if it’s a collection or a playlist, just as long as you can select it within the show itself.
I know we have collections right now which is nice to combine more than one show or movie and same goes for playlists, but it would be a nice addition to be able to create a collection or playlist for a specific show that would appear within it’s season selection.

My thinking was that collections are designed to be more focusing on library organization and might therefore better suit that particular use case. But it’s nothing more than a thought
I think collections are a great design for organizing content! But as far as collections and playlists go you can add whatever movie/show you want to it (which is great), however, I’m looking for a collection or playlist you can create that is specific to a show so that when I feel like watching holiday episodes from a specific show or watching my favorite episodes, or scariest or whatever I choose, I can just go to that specific show and see it there.
It’s just a thought I think would be fun to have. I’m no professional with organization, and I also don’t understand how the programming world works so it may not be an option, but if it doesn’t hurt to add it in as an option then why not?
