Today they announced a release date for Playstation TV in North America (October 14th)
Is there ANY chance a client will be released on this platform? I know traditionally, game consoles and Plex have not worked that great together. Just hoping!
I was going to bump this topic last week, but didn't think there was even a chance of it happening... then I saw the Xbox announcement today.
Please please please devote some resources to getting a Plex client running on PSTV/PSV/PS4!
I'll be looking out for this as well. I don't think it's clear yet but if the PlayStation TV has even minimum connectivity and media player characteristics it's likely it's compatible with the current PS Media Server, with which Plex (I believe) is already compatible.
I haven't seen any comment yet, but if this thing supports the network media capabilities of the PS3 (which technically isn't that hard) then it would even be possible Plex already supports the PlayStation TV.
I'm not getting any hopes up on this, but if it can do that and remotely allow me to play shadow of the colossus, ico and journey, I'm surely getting one. Everything after that is a plus (I couldn't care less about remote playing a PS4, though)
