Take advantage of the dual D300, D500 or D700 in Mac Pro 2013
Now being relatively cheap and powerful (I got a 12 core xeon e5-2697v2 + dual GPU D700 and 32GB of RAM for 550 use) it would be great if you can extend the usage of the GPU for Mac OS on this model.

Because no one else has replied to you I guess I will. This will never happen for a few reasons. First off, Plex doesn’t support AMD at all. Mostly because their encoders are terrible. Some people have had luck running newer amd cards but it’s pretty hit or miss.
More importantly, those cards you’re talking about are ancient and don’t have the required encoders to work well. So even if Plex did eventually add support for AMD cards, those cards you’re talking about are way too old.
