Please add Hardware Encoder / Decoder Usage (Graphs) to Dashboard

would like to see this added if possible +1

+1, would like this, especially for Linux systems

+1, this would be immensely useful, the purpose of the graphs is to see system usage and available capacity at glance, for people with hw encoding that’s half the picture missing.

I justed began to use HW encoding an I would really like to see the utilization of the nvenc encoder.

For linux, the current installer detects GPU type, Qsync, etc and already has a few dependencies that are required. It would definitely be beneficial if it could detect if nvidia-smi or the like was installed if nvidia GPU detected or similar for Intel Qsync, etc.

For NVIDIA you can query the GPU with the following and then parse the result into a graph:
watch -n 2 ‘nvidia-smi -q -d UTILIZATION’

I am also very interested in this feature. Curious where the Plex team stands on the feasibility of something like this. Others have mentioned nvidia-smi but it would be nice to see it in a graph in the GUI along with the current stream and usage data that is already there.

Posting to show my interest in this request. Would be nice to have gpu utilization graph within Plex.

Happy to throw my 2 bits in here. The dashboard is already monitoring Bandwidth, CPU, and RAM, so the GPU Decoder/Encoder not being there really sticks out like a sore thumb. The data is available in Task Manager these days but that requires being on the server. Having it in Plex would be a great addition!

Would also be nice if we could rearrange the graphs or hide ones we don’t care about, but that would be a different FR I suppose. First let’s get the GPU stats in there.

Posting to show interest in this feature is ongoing

This would make life a bit easier. I’d prefer just going to the dashboard rather than running watch -n 2 nvidia-smi in the cli.

Dear Plex Team,

First of all, thank you for creating such an outstanding application. I truly enjoy using Plex, especially Plex Media Server — it’s a masterpiece of software, and I’m grateful for all the work your team puts into it.

I’d like to suggest a feature that I believe many users would appreciate. In the current server dashboard, we can view useful graphs and information related to network traffic, CPU usage, and memory consumption.

It would be incredibly helpful to also have a graph showing GPU usage and GPU memory usage — especially when a graphics card is being used for hardware transcoding. This would give users better insight into how their hardware is being utilized during media playback and transcoding.

Thank you again for everything you do!

Best regards,
Pascal

Im sure this has been suggested, the GPU stats on the dashboard would be nice, that is all…

Oh and a running history of the stats so you can go back 30-days

Its been 6 years…. How is this not a feature yet. All this money for the plex pass but no GPU Graph is crazy. Come on dev team. Add the graph… Its been long enough.

+1 for me, new user of plex, only been using it for a week but could seriously do with this feature
