After a painful attempt to set up a new NAS with semi-professional help I gave up. Way complicated for this Octogenarian.

Back to Windows PC where Plex always worked great:

  1. Started Plex Server, and Plex Player
  2. Player shows libraries and thumbs, all good
  3. Try to play selections and get ‘UNAVAILABLE’
  4. Check media folder, all files intact, play just fine w/ VLC
  5. Please help me resolve this - Thanks for your help!

also having this problem with most recent update…Seems like this forum is dead.

Where are your files stored? If they are on a NAS, was the NAS available when PMS was started? If not, restart PMS (not the whole computer) and see if that fixes things.
