Not sure where to start with this one so I figured I’d start here.
I have four different users who use my pms for their viewing. A month or two ago their streaming started to buffer a fair amount. The main thing that has changed was a clean windows 10 install but nothing else of note. Most of them has fast broadband.
My upload is still 30Mbps strong.
Buffering happens when when only one user is logged on.
Buffering happens when streaming from different harddrives.
Cpu is only loaded to 20% while a single user is active.
Users are using different systems. Roku, ios, nvidia shield.
Things were working perfectly before. Same users can stream Netflix without issues.
I read the plex help page. I enabled verbose logging. Transcoding numbers are healthy looking from what I can see. Even so I still set transcoding to high speed. It made no difference.
On the phone at the moment bit will happily upload logs if needed.
Mostly wondering if others are experiencing this sort of behaviour.
I love Plex. Just want to get it running smoothly.

What is your PMS running on?
What are the quality settings for your remote users?
What Version of PMS is running?
How is your server connected to your network?
Windows 10, i5 45470s, 8gigs ram, ssd system drive, separate media drives for each library.
Probably that same as it was when it was working a few months ago.
The latest version of pms.
Wired cat6 straight to router.
Cheers for the reply. That’s what I think. I have not had trouble for thr past year or so with the same users and hardware setup. Windows 10 & plex updates are the main changes.
One thought however.
If you are running current PMS did you try to go into Remote settings and setup the bitrate for remote streams…
That is a new addition to Plex a release or so ago.
Maybe lowering it to say 3mbps will help. That is where I have my remote users set to…
