Has anyone figured out a good method to get all of your content into Amazon drive? I figure I am still going need to keep a server running for downloads and the like but it can be much smaller low power solution then my current plex rig.

So right now I need to figure out how to get everything I have into the cloud and then as new things get released how to get them up there as well.

Just wondering if anyone had a plan for that.

I’m in the process of doing exactly this right now, as it happens, in advance of hopefully receiving a beta invite soon.

What are you using to do it with?

Filebot and rclone is the short answer for new files though it’s still a work in progress - a simple bash script might end up being the end result. I’m lucky in that my Plex media library is already backed up to ACD in a Plex/Cloud friendly format automatically by my QNAP NAS, which is also my PMS at home. If I were doing a bulk upload though I’d just run rclone and wait.

I have found a program called Goodsync which seems to do a great job. Would recommend you check that out too. It will keep files updated on change or on chron.

What about the 2gb file size cap?

There isn’t one.

The 2Gb file size cap is only on files uploaded through ACD’s web interface. It does not apply to any other uploads (using rclone etc or the desktop application

Ya, it’s just if I use goodsync or other applications, it gets stuck and rejects it. I’ll have to checkout rclone. Right now I use Google for Work. I’m concerned with Amazon getting pissed off. I heard of several users receiving notices, while none for Google.

A good process is using GOODSYNC. It even has the ability to throttle to upload to your Amazon Drive so it does not take up your entire upload. Also, you can do a ONEWAY Sync so you do not have to keep a local copy (and even have it delete the local copy once upload and verified). Finally, a good program to access your Amazon content from the one way sync is to use NET2DRIVE. Basically, you can mount your CLOUD DRIVE as a logical drive such as a G: Drive. This is great for plex because plex thinks your cloud drive is a local drive. Just extra FYI.
