Lately, I have been waking up to my plex having crashed, not sure when during the night this happens but I need to start it again in the morning. I downloaded my plex logs but I don’t know where to begin I have been looking through them but don’t see anything that helps me, its all gibberish.
How can i attach my logs here for someone who knows what to look for?

Well according to that link, and thank you. My plex crashed in a such a way that it didnt log it, so i had to follow steps to add a registry entry so windows records the next crash. I guess for now i just have to wait.

Do you use Plex for live TV and DVR? It’s so check out this form as I’ve been also having the same problem. It’s not necessarily at night it can be midday it’s whenever the system tries to scan the DVR folder. Thought he got fixed with the recent update but it hasn’t. Have someone looking into it at the moment.
I installed an app called restart after crash. Don’t know if it’s working yet but I’ll know soon. The plan is if Plex crashes which is happening almost every 24 hours this app will automatically restart it. It’s a Band-Aid until we figure out what’s going on. If you’re using this app you won’t be able to send logs though.
No not using live DVR, but it seems to have self resolved (gotta love computers) so it has stopped crashing nightly due to no change on my end so i dont know. However the app you mentioned called restart after crash is exactly what i was looking for to band-aid my situation as well. Turns out i dont need it but glad to know it exists.
My Plex Server has also been crashing nightly. I’m running an older computer / server that I formatted, reloaded OS, and updated and updated and updated before installing PLEX. Any help figuring out what is going on would be much appreciated. I would also really appreciate any input on specs I should look for in a new server. I’m ready to buy soon, but want to make sure I get something that perform well for several years. Logs attached and info on computer as follows: Del XPS7100 Win 7 Home, AMD Phenom II X6 1055T, 12 Gig ram, Hauppauge quad HD. It was pretty reliable until recently.
