Plex crashing when using RAM Drive for transcoding

I recently setup a RAM drive for the transcoding directory due to my SSD life getting chewed up by transcodes.

I found the following post by @JesterEE really helpful but I’m wondering if something’s changed with Plex’s behaviour in the more recent versions.

Currently running the latest (Version 1.25.2.5319) on Windows 10 with ImDisk running a 4GB RAM Drive.

What I’m seeing is as transcodes start to fill up the drive, it approaches ~50MB of free space and keeps filling until suddenly the drive is empty and the plex server has stopped running/crashed. I’m guessing there might be something wrong with the free space management that OP detailed from his findings.

Wondering if others have noted the same or have suggestions on how to fix? I’d really like to use the little bit of extra RAM I have to save on my SSD life.

After disabling the ram drive and getting some more crashes, this might not be related to RAM drive.
This could be a server v1.25 issue… so I’ve rolled back to v1.24 to see if it stabilizes.
