I keep getting an issue lately with my plex server. I am seeing that the database is locking and constantly staying in a state of busy database or database is locked starting about 2 months agoish. For clarity I have been using the plugin’s XBMCnfoTVImporter or XBMCnfoMoviesImporter to read from NFO for the metadata instead of having to constantly load from plex. This does not appear to be the issue from what I can see.
I have thumbnails and Intro skip turned off on the libraries as well.
I have since also moved my metadata to raid 0 SSD and the database is now on its own ssd as well to help try and limit the issue. But it is still locking. I have attached logs. I am hoping someone can help
Update:
So I removed all libraries and readded them. I am no longer getting database locks. Going to start turning on the thumbnails as that is when it got the worst
Fixed. I ended up have to delete the data and start over from scratch. Before doing so I followed the insturctions on pulling the playstate data from the old database. Deleted the database. Reimported my library with the XBMCnfoTVImporter and XBMCnfoMoviesImporter plugins. Then imported the playstate. It is working better than ever. And intro detection is finally working
