Hello! Back in the day I used SnapStream BeyondTV to do my TV recordings, and one of the core features of the application was that every night it would compress the recordings, deleting the originals, to save disk space. I’ve been searching all over Plex for that functionality and so far I can’t find it, only can optimize manually, so I have to assume that’s not currently possible.
Could you add that ability to Plex? It’s especially beneficial because without that, streaming shows to other devices requires transcoding (they’re MPEG2TS) and thus makes my computer unusable for gaming – being unable to play games while my wife watches This Is Us is no bueno :p.
If it helps prioritize this, I’m a Plex Pass subscriber and this’ll definitely help keep me paying
