If I play music on Android (for Example with VLC) on local Network I can choose “Plex Media Server: xxxx” and it it possible to look for artist, … AND ALSO “By Folder”.
It would be great, if this Option also would be available in the Plex forSonos App !!!
This is a change Sonos would need to make, not Plex. At this time, Sonos doesn’t support the DLNA protocol, which is what your VLC Android app is using to find your Plex server.
You can add Plex as a music “service” to your Sonos system though, and as long as remote access is enabled on your Plex server, there shouldn’t be any issues with it working.
Also, you might want to check under “Streaming Devices > Sonos” here if you do run into issues with the Plex for Sonos service.
