PLEX hooks/events

I'm wondering what happened to events/hooks that was "planned" for PLEX9?
There is a thread about this in a completely different subforum, which doesn't seem to be read by onyone anymore.

I still want this feature for example turning lights on/off when starting/pausing a movie.
Anyone got any information regarding this?

It’s still planned, no ETA though :slight_smile: We have lots of new features planned, some of which depend on others, and therefore need to be added in a particular order. This is one of those cases, sorry - some other pieces of the puzzle need to be added before we can enable event hooks.

Hopefully we will see this excellent feature to get scripting-interaction soon.

Anything ever come of this?  Will we get scripting/hook support any time soon?
