Request: in Windows, allow non-admin user accounts to install and update Plex HTPC. The use case is for appliance-style HTPCs that are used primarily as streaming devices with an unsecured non-admin account, but are still password protected with an admin account. It would be nice not to have to pull out a keyboard to enter a password when Plex HTPC needs to install an update.
I’ve tried forcing the app to install into the user %localappdata% folder during initial install, but that doesn’t seem to bypass the need to elevate with an admin account when the app updates.
