I apologize for asking this question if it has already been asked but I am a new user to Plex Live TV. My PC has a built in TV tuner but I do not have a digital tuner/DVR. Can I use the TV tuner card already installed on my PC for Plex Live TV or do I need to purchase an external tv tuner (i.e. HAUPPAUGE WinTV-DualHD Dual USB 2.0 HD TV Tuner for Windows PC 1595).
If I do not need to purchase an external tuner, how do I set Plex Live TV to look for my PC tuner card?

You can post based on your tuner Here and see if you can find some support for yours, if not these are the supported tuners today
I don’t know what type of tuner it is. It is a feature of my PC. It has recording capability but it saves the recorded TV to a file on my PC.

Is it a Windows PC? If so, go to the Device Manage and maybe it will give you a clue. Another option is to power down your PC, open it up and look inside to see any add-in card. Another option is to look if there is a Settings/Preference option in the app that records your TV and see if it lists the tuner there.
