Plex Media Player, IPv6 support

For some unknown reason, Plex Media Player will not work over IPv6, it finds the server and can browse but streaming anything does not work. IPv6 connectivity itself works.
Plex just says on the server error, and this can be seen in the log:

Aug 29, 2020 17:47:42.904 [0x7f6fbc843700] VERBOSE - We didn't receive any data from [2001:2003:<snip>]:6219 in time, dropping connection.
Aug 29, 2020 17:47:42.931 [0x7f6fb7fff700] VERBOSE - Didn't receive a request from [2001:2003:<snip>]:6219: End of file

I have added the *..plex.direct:32400 to the custom server access URLs which have IPv6 variant as well.

How do I get it to work over IPv6?
